About Teeth Aligners
Many people did not have the need or weren't able to wear braces during adolescence, but they now experience some spacing or crowding problematic areas that keep them from attaining a straight, gorgeous smile. Invisible teeth orthodontic aligner trays are uniquely designed covers for the teeth made from invisible plastic or acrylic material that effectively shifts teeth into alignment. Using stages of aligners over a number of months, clear teeth aligners effectively straighten mild to moderate crowded teeth and spacing irregularities for straighter, healthier teeth. Invisible aligner trays are generally preferred by patients over traditional visible straightening methods since they are hardly noticed and can be set aside for eating, brushing, and flossing. Our dentists at DentalWorks - Garfield in Garfield Heights, OH explain teeth straightening recommendations, such as clear teeth aligners during regular cleanings.

What to Expect
Each phase of clear aligners are tailored depending on the patient's existing teeth structure. Each set of aligners are manufactured based on digital X-rays, physical impressions, and photos. The individual will be given several sets of aligning trays at their orthodontic visit and our dentists will ensure that the first set fits properly so that any tweaks can be made. Our patients generally wear the trays as many hours in a day as possible. The alignment trays should be temporarily set aside for brushing, eating, and drinking colored liquids. When one tray has been worn for a specific period of time, the next phase of trays will replace the current set during a quick appointment at DentalWorks - Garfield.
The treatment timeframe that a patient wears each group of aligners will vary based on the specific needs of each person. The progression of trays needed is generally discussed by our dentists during the consultation. The trays will be worn as often as possible until the teeth are repositioned accordingly. Assessments at DentalWorks - Garfield will be provided at each appointment so that the repositioning can be measured. Our dentists will assist patients so they are kept informed of the ongoing progression. Once the teeth are straight, a fixed retainer will be placed on the teeth for long-lasting results.
According to the details of the patient's dental insurance benefits, some of the treatment may be accounted for. Our dental office at DentalWorks - Garfield will talk to the patient's provider to confirm their benefits and give a realistic estimate of the patient's out-of-pocket fees. Patients who do not have dental insurance for clear aligner treatment, may consider DentalWorks - Garfield's in-house payment options.
